Worship is the most important thing we do. God desires our worship and the gathering of community binds us to one another and strengthens out mutual relationships. Through worship we are renewed and energized to serve as the presence of Jesus in our community, work places, homes, and within the church.

Resurrection's worship is dynamic and evolving, integrating fresh liturgies, new and traditional musical styles, reading of scripture, the proclamation of God’s Word, prayers and celebration of Holy Communion, all in the context of a truly multi-generational congregation. Every person is invited to share his or her gifts as part of worship. We do so in a spirit of shared responsibility and thankful gratitude.  In the sections below - you will find a brief description of each of our worship gatherings...we strive to ensure that there is something for everyone...if you don't find what you were looking for OR have suggestions for something new and different....give us a shout...you can use our online connection card to communicate with us by CLICKING HERE

Worship @ RLC

Wednesday Evenings (Sept - May)

Each Wednesday during the school year the Resurrection family gathers for a multi-generational meal, worship and small groups. Worship is relaxed, simple and contemplative. The evening begins at 5:30pm for dinner and holy conversations; devotional worship & sharing of Holy Communion at 6:10pm, Small Groups (Adult study, parenting group, Middle School and High School groups, Kids Club, Choirs) at 6:30pm and you will be on your way home no later than 7:45pm.

Sunday [Contemporary]

9:15AM

Resurrection's contemporary service is blessed to be led by a team of talented musicians. These folks are led by Jackie Miclau - Resurrections Minister of Music.

The music presented at our Praise Service is a combination of what you might hear on Christian Radio and favorite praise choruses. The feel is upbeat and folks are invited to sing along with the praise team, clap their hands and make a joyful noise to God.

The message that is shared is the same message that is shared at our Traditional Service and is real, relevant and applicable to daily life. The pastors dress more casually as do many of the members of the congregation - but you can come as you are be  comfortable, we want you to feel at home and be open to what God has to say to you today.

As with all our ministries - your kids are welcome members of our worshipping community. Although we provide a nursery, cry room and Kids Church - your children may always remain with you in worship and participate fully in the worship experience.

Communion is celebrated at this service weekly. Jesus is God's unconditional gift to all of creation and so we do not place conditions or restrictions on those who wish to receive You need not "check in" with the pastor before receiving. If you desire to receive Jesus in, with and under the bread and wine (grape juice) of communion - you are welcome to join us at this holy meal. Children commune with parental permission and those not receiving are invited to come up for a special blessing.

Sunday [Traditional] 11:15am

Different people enjoy different styles of worship. The message is the same - God unconditional love for all creation in Jesus Christ - but the way that message is presented can, and does, change.

The 11:15 am [11 am in the summer months] worship service at Resurrection has a more "traditional" feel for those who enjoy and are moved by more historical methods of worship. This service employs time honored liturgies of our Lutheran Tradition including Confession, Kyrie, Hymn of Praise and the Eucharistic liturgy.

We sing hymns from our Lutheran Tradition as well as other favorites. Our Adult Choir and Bell Choir add special musical meditations to our worship experience. Those who gather are invited to join in with the "great cloud of witnesses" from all times and places as we give praise and thanks to God for all of God's good blessings.
