My goal within any church I serve is to take youth ministry to the next level, implementing a safe place for youth to come and participate in weekly youth nights, monthly events, mission trips, local mission opportunities, hunger justice events, large scale youth events, spiritual awareness opportunities, youth worship, tailgate parties and more. But in the end my ultimate goal is to teach youth about Jesus Christ and to help them grow a personal relationship in Jesus that will take them into their young adult years and keep them hungering for more.

Since 1989 I have served the greater Church in part time and full time positions. Those positions include "Church Choir Director," "Director of Children's Ministries," "Director of Youth Ministries," and "Director of Worship and Music."

For most of those years I’ve been in the trenches with my sleeves rolled up doing youth ministry with one main ministry objective: To provide a safe place where children and youth can gather and be themselves in a non threatening and welcoming environment; an environment where youth and children can experience God’s love and goodness through worship and mission, as well as a place where youth and children can develop Christian friendships and grow deeper in faith all while growing their relationship in Jesus Christ.

In addition to my work experiences, I’ve grown up in the Lutheran Church, I am a graduate of Lutheran High School and Concordia University and have a “Certificate” in “Youth and Theology” from Princeton Theological Seminary.
