It is part of our baptismal promises that we will walk beside parents as they raise their children in the Christian faith, therefore, Resurrection offers a variety of ministries tailored to the unique needs youth of all ages.

On Sunday Mornings during the school year, Sunday School classes are offered for youth of all ages, digging into the timeless biblical promises of God's love and age appropriate lessons that can be applied in the lives of our youth.

Children have the opportunity to receive an age appropriate Gospel message as part of Kids Church. This is optional and children are always welcome to remain with their parents during worship.  Those children who would like to be a part of Kids Church are excused following the Kids Time chat with our Children's Minister, Kari Jubb during the early worship service.

Youth in the 6th - 8th grades are involved in an intense program of instruction entitled Resurrection Academy of Discipleship (RAD) formerly known as Confirmation.. In our RAD program, youth struggle with real life issues enlightened by the teaching of Scripture and of our Lutheran Tradition. Beginning this fall the RAD program will meet once a month on Sunday evenings.  The RAD schedule will be posted on our RAD information page.  Middle school youth are also invited to attend out Wonderful Wednesday program and take part in our Middle School Youth youth group.

Programs for those youth in High School run throughout the year and culminate in a Mission trip in the Summer. Every third year (including 2012) our High School youth attend the ELCA National Youth Gathering - bringing 35,000 youth and adults together in one arena for a week of worship, inspiration and service in the community. Detroit is 2015 location of the High School Youth Gathering.

During the summer, Resurrection features a week-long Vacation Day Camp - its like going off to summer camp but sleeping at home (and no cold showers!). Kids sing, learn and play together. Day Camp is open to all and you need not be a member of Resurrection to be involved. The dates for this year's day camp are July 20 - July 23 (9a-3p) and July 24 (9a - 12 noon)

We welcome youth into our program at any time of year. For more information, please contact Troy Lutz, Minister of Youth and Family Discipleship - you can also reach him at the RLC office (503.255.8772)
